1944 - Co – founds the ANC Youth League.
1952 - Opened the first black law with Oliver.
1991 - Nelson Mandela became the ANC'S leader.
1993 – Awarded Novel Peace Prize.
1994 – President of South Africa.
2004 - Establishes the Nelson Mandela Foundation.

 1956 – Arrested and joins 155 others on trial.
1958 – Divorces Evelyn Mase and marries.
1960 - Sharpeville massacre.
1962 - Arrested and sentenced to life.
1990 - Released from prison.
1996 – Divorces Winnie Mandela
1998 – Marries Graca Machel.
1999 - His presidency in South Africa came to an end.
2013 - He died at the age of 95
